Los Gatos Unleashed is a volunteer service group committed to promoting the Town of Los Gatos as a dog friendly shopping and dinning destination and promoting responsible dog ownership in our community.

Los Gatos Unleashed works with Humane Society Silicon Valley (HSSV), Society Dog, and other dog organizations to produce "Los Perros for a Day" and Howling Halloween each year in our town. Procedes from this are donated to the Los Gatos-Monte Sereno Police Foundation for our Police Department K9 unit.

Dog owners are a substantial group of residents in Los Gatos. A conservative estimate is that almost 70% of all Los Gatos households have at least one dog.

Partnering with Humane Society Silicon Valley (HSSV), Los Gatos Unleashed is also exploring the need for an off–leash designated dog activity area within the Town limits of Los Gatos, California.

Research demonstartes that a dog park is great a place for dog owners and their dogs to get together for social interaction and outdoor fun. Dog parks provide pets and owners time to bond and play but also serve a wider purpose: to bring together likeminded members of the community.
